The electrical cables industry was introduced to the company and it has an integrated factory with modern and programmed machines after an agreement with a Chinese company and the factory was installed and equipped in a record time. The factory has started production with a capacity of up to (400) meters per hour, with Iraqi  staffs specialized in this field and with different measurements. In the factory, Copper is fermented , Then it is rolled on special rollers, after which it is subject to careful examination to ensure the quality of the product and that it conforms to the standard specifications before submitting it to the beneficiaries.

After opening this factory, the company today does not need to purchase and import, and it covers the company's needs of these cables and the parties that have been contracted with. And that the raw materials used in the factory are of international specifications, which is fermented and converted from large electrodes to a thickness ranging between (0.2-3.8) mm.

The cables factory produces multi types shapes and sizes of cables, such as (1) mm (100) yards per roll and (2) mm (100) yards per roll, equivalent to (90.5) meters per roll, which is of high quality and according to standard specifications and It is approved by the Ministry of Electricity, and it is much better than the types offered in the market. The company's production is also presented in the market and it is known that it is a copper cable, not a copper-coated aluminum cable.

The company continues to work on developing the production line and reaching the stage of (Hi.T) and intends to contract with a Turkish company in order to bring machinery and equipment for this line and to produce other types such as communication wires, computers and cameras connecting wires.

In the future, the company seeks to work on capillary cable, and this also needs special machines and (RG) cable, which is used to transmit the signal in order to cover the market need.

The cables Factory of the General Company for Electrical and Electronic Industries, one of the companies of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, has begun to supply the Ministries of Electricity and Oil with its products through contracts concluded between the two parties.

It produces a variety of cables, and the cables are divided into:

1- Single core cables (with one conductor)

2- Multi-core cables (multi-conductors)

3- High voltage cables have four conductors...three for phases and the fourth is ground

4- Low voltage cables with three conductors
